Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about postpartum planning support, parent workshops, and opportunities for connection in community.
-
What is Postpartum Planning Support?
Postpartum planning support helps families prepare for the early weeks after birth with clarity and confidence. Together, we explore recovery needs, feeding expectations, household rhythms, emotional support, and community resources so you can enter postpartum feeling more prepared and supported.
-
Do you support families after adoption, surrogacy, or foster placement?
Yes. Every family deserves thoughtful preparation and support during the transition into parenthood. My postpartum planning sessions and parent workshops are inclusive of adoptive, foster, LGBTQ2+, and blended families, as well as those welcoming a child through surrogacy.
-
When should I begin Postpartum Planning?
Many families begin planning during pregnancy, but it’s never too late to create a support plan. Postpartum planning can be helpful at any stage as you prepare for changes in family life.
-
What is The Early Weeks Parent Workshop?
The Early Weeks Parent Workshop is a guided learning space designed to help parents prepare for the transition into early parenthood. Topics may include newborn rhythms, recovery expectations, emotional adjustment, partner support, and building a sustainable support network.
-
Who are your workshops designed for?
Workshops are designed for expectant parents, newly postpartum families, and anyone who wants to feel more prepared for the early weeks after birth.
-
Do you offer In-Home Postpartum Doula support?
At this time, my work focuses on postpartum planning sessions, parent education, and community-based support gatherings rather than in-home visits.
-
How do you support Perinatal Mental Health?
I support families through education, preparation, and connection to trusted community resources. I also advocate for perinatal mental health awareness and help parents identify supportive pathways if additional care is needed.
-
What community gatherings do you offer?
I facilitate the Blossoms of Parenthood Circle Group, a parent-centered support space, as well as Little Blossoms, an outdoor play group where parents and young children can connect within our community.
-
Is Postpartum Planning only for first-time parents?
Not at all. Many experienced parents find postpartum planning helpful as they prepare to welcome another child or adjust to a new season of family life.
-
How is Postpartum Planning different from Postpartum Doula care?
Postpartum planning focuses on preparing ahead of time for recovery, support needs, and daily rhythms after birth. It complements hands-on care but can also stand on its own as a way to build confidence and structure before baby arrives.
-
How do I get started?
You’re welcome to fill out the Connect with Me form on the homepage to learn more about Postpartum Planning sessions or upcoming workshops. Parents are also invited to attend the free Blossoms of Parenthood Circle Group or the Little Blossoms outdoor play group as a way to connect with other parents and resources in our community.
A Note about Perinatal Loss

Birth is birth, even in the most tragic of circumstances. Grief is a deeply personal process, and everyone responds differently. Families experiencing loss are still postpartum, and I remain available to offer guidance, connection to supportive resources, and compassionate presence as you move through this difficult time.
